Because I am more interested in Microsoft's technology, I have recently studied using Visual Studio Code to develop an Asp.net core project and prepare to start from the backend.

Initially, a console project was created using the dotnet new console. It was found in the configuration file that it was a. netcoreapp2.0 project;

Then, a class library is created using dotnet new classlib. In the configuration file, it is found that this is A. netstandard2.0 project;

 

I'm curious about the differences;

 

First, we are very familiar with. net framework, which is used to generate Windows applications or Asp Web projects on iis;

 

Second,. net core is used to generate cross-platform console applications, ASP. NET Core Web applications, and cloud services;

 

Finally,. net standard is used to generate libraries that can be referenced from all. NET implementations (such as. NET Framework,. NET Core, and Xamarin;

If you want to use ConfigurationBuilder () to read the configuration file and set basepath, use. netcoreapp2.0, which is not currently supported by. netstandard2.0;
