Shareaholic's latest report shows that Facebook is the most powerful social platform for traffic referrals. According to the latest data from the social Services Analysis platform, network traffic introduced via Facebook Rose 10% from 21.25% to 23.39% in the four months from March to June. This means that 23% of the total traffic in Shareaholic's site is from Facebook or its associated services.
The top three two other social platforms are Pinterest and Twitter in turn. Pinterest's latest figure, 5.72%, has fallen 19.38% since March, while Twitter has seen a 9.9% decline in performance over the same period, with June data at 1.03%. Some of the remaining platforms, including YouTube, Linedin and Google, contributed less than 1% per cent of referral traffic to the site.
With Year-on-year data, the obvious advantage of Facebook's network diversion is that it has a significant year-on-year growth with Pinterest, while Twitter, Google + and LinkedIn all have varying degrees of decline.
