Hardware upgrades are a trend for smartphones, especially in the processor world. Samsung has officially launched the world's first eight-core processor Exynos 5 octa at the CES2013 Consumer Electronics Show. According to Samsung, the eight-core processor features low power and high performance, and its 3D performance will reach twice times the size of all products available on the market.
Samsung Exynos 5 Octa
As the world's first eight core mobile processor, Samsung Exynos 5 Octa adopts 28nm process, arm big based on arm. The Little/cortex A15 architecture (known as the large and small kernel architecture) is known as a low-power, High-performance mobile processor architecture. Samsung's eight-processor feature is comprised of two four-core processors, 1.8GHz A15 architecture processors and 1.2GHz A7 architecture processors. The more powerful A15 four processor is used to handle high load processing tasks, while the four-core processor of the A7 architecture handles relatively easy tasks.
However, Samsung has not yet introduced more details about the eight-core processor, but says it can reduce energy consumption by 70% compared to other processors, and that 3D will be twice times more than all products available on the market. It is not clear when this eight-core processor will be shipped, and Samsung will be the first to use this processor in the product to believe that in the future will become a topic of concern.
