English Original: 6 things I do to be consistently happy

I couldn't help but sigh that the first time I had thought about Buffer (the simplest way to publish on social media) was almost two years ago. And, before I had the idea of 1.5, I was in front of that new company working, I noticed in the creation of the company all kinds of models have, mixed.

One of the most important things I learned during that time was that I was in the best shape when I was happy. This is really different. When I'm happy, writing code is more efficient, coping with problems is more agile, and it's easier to stay focused.

Search, finally I found, for me, to keep happy very effective a few habits. When I don't have a 100% feel, they can also quickly restore my "blue", improve my level of pleasure, so that I can continue to enlarge the recruit. Here are my 6 habits:

  1. Get up early

One of the advantages of opening a company is that I am free to arrange my own time to do my daily work.

Through the experiment, I found that getting up early every day made me energetic and cheerful. Set off, get up early makes my work efficiency high, completes the job much, so I can rest early in the evening, ensure enough sleep, form a virtuous circle. As time went on, I found that I was more and more fond of the early morning, because in the early morning I can handle many "incurable diseases", and the attention is highly concentrated. Gretchen Rubin also has similar passages in his article "The Happiness Project":

"I get up 6 o'clock in the morning every day, even weekends and holidays. I really enjoy the feeling of getting up early. ”

It takes self-discipline to get up early every day, especially to restrain yourself from bedtime the night before. Now I can make sure I get ready to go to bed 9:30 in the evening, and then I'll sleep on time 10 o'clock. Wake up the next morning, wow, it feels so good!

  2. Daily exercise

"We found that people who love sports are happier and more active than those who don't. "--amanda Hyde

In the past three years, sports have changed from the occasional to my daily compulsory course. At the start of the gym, I didn't know what to do, and then I asked my brother, who was a personal trainer. Then after listening to his suggestion, I called my good friend to start the exercise. Soon, I fell in love with fitness.

Now, if I don't go to the gym, I'm not going to be enthusiastic. I have also recently discovered that exercise can even help us solve other problems in other areas. And, not to tell you, is the exercise to cure my insomnia, let me return to the gentle embrace of high-quality sleep.

  3. Proper relaxation

"The happiest, richest, most productive lives are not just the ability to face up to all the challenges at hand, but also to be able to break out of these encirclement regularly to find some relief. "--loehr and Schwarz," The Power of Full Engagement "

The so-called "the Road of Man and Man, Yichi", "Ax". As I mentioned above, I can make sure that I get up at 6 in the morning because I'm ready to go to bed the day before. I went for a walk 9:30 night, walking slowly along the path I had traveled countless times. Because the route is determined, I don't do anything else, it's just a walk, so it's a good way to relax.

There's always a lot of ideas coming in and out of my mind when I walk, and I find it's good for health. Sometimes I think of the big case I finished that day. Sometimes, I think about how to keep happy. My mood was so calm and relaxed along the journey that I could fall asleep with my head on the pillow after almost washing. Needless to say, it's definitely more than I've been working, and then going to sleep a few minutes before shutting down the computer to sleep well and sleep soundly.

  4. Willing to help others

So far, one of my loveliest discoveries about myself is to help others make me feel happy. There was a time when I often met with entrepreneurs to help them solve some of the problems of a new venture, and I was always happy, but I didn't look into why. And then when I was fortunate enough to read Matthieu Ricard's HAPPINESS:A Guide to Developing life's most Important Skill, and then think about my situation, I finally understood that helping others made me feel happy.

I read over and over again the relevant passages on the link between altruism and happiness, as mentioned in the previous article. And since then, I've been insisting on helping entrepreneurs who need help: finding ways to meet their current challenges, finding better processes, and more. This return gives me great happiness and happiness.

If you want advice on starting a business, you are welcome to send me an email or Skype.

  5. Learn new skills

"When there is a moment when you are preoccupied with a task and find a sense of peace and happiness in your work, enjoy it." This is the process. "--leo Babauta

One more thing I learned on the Buffer is that the challenge is a key factor in happiness. I am happy when I have a challenge. You may wonder why the new challenge will make me happy? Because if life is smooth, there is no stormy sea, will let me lose passion, sullen.

One of the key reasons that learning new skills can bring happiness is that we need to focus on learning to make progress, in short, it's a challenge. According to the steep learning curve, we can really learn a lot in a short period of time. For example, in the first two weeks, I started learning Android development technology from scratch, and now, compared to two weeks ago, I can't believe I've learned so much.

  6. Be careful about every day

All of the 5 points I mentioned above need to be kept going. And I, in the past so many days and nights, I have done. Every day of my life is very fulfilling and meaningful, this feeling really praise! I have goals at work, and I have goals in my tonnage and weight. In addition, I try to arrange time to meet every day or to help others on Skype. It was about a year ago that I learned from an interview. Specific posts I have also mentioned in my blog, but it is well worth sharing, so I want to repeat it again:

"Even if you devote yourself to a new venture, there are always factors beyond your control, and you may feel depressed and unsure, and these will affect your ability to play." So, my advice is, you should, for example, take part in fitness activities like rock climbing. Try to spend time on it. My advice is to have at least one physical exercise. And then even if something goes wrong--for example, you're disband with your partner--you can still have a good week, because you can go to the gym to break your own records, sweat on the runway, and so on. ”

So if I get up early every day, exercise in the gym, work hard during the day, and then help others during lunch time, my day will be particularly fulfilling, and the most important and joyful.

Pro, do you have any activities or habits that can bring you happiness? I'm all ears here.
