Add eclipse menu to gnome3.2

This article uses an example to demonstrate how to add an application menu to Gnome 3.2

Go to the/usr/share/applications directory.

Create a menu name for sudo VI eclipse. desktop and enter the following content.

[Desktop entry]

Name = eclipse

Comment = powerful Java ide

Exec =/opt/Eclipse/eclipse

Icon =/opt/Eclipse/icon. XPM

Startupnotify = true

Terminal = false

Type = Application

Categories = gnome; GTK; application; development;

X-gnome-Bugzilla = gnome

X-gnome-Bugzilla-Product = eclipse

X-gnome-Bugzilla-Component = General

X-gnome-Bugzilla-version = 3.7.1

X-Ubuntu-gettext-domain = eclipse

Save and exit. You can view the eclipse menu you have added in the Application> development menu.
