With the development of the Internet and the advent of the "cloud era", more and more people are used to storing photos, videos, and other files on the cloud or uploading them to others for sharing. When using a vro, the download speed of the online terminal is normal and the upload speed is slow:
Please refer to the following methods for troubleshooting:
The upload speed mainly depends on the uplink bandwidth, while the upstream and downstream bandwidths of most home broadband lines are asymmetrical, and the uplink bandwidth is far lower than the downstream bandwidth. On a telephone line, the uplink bandwidth can be to the downlink bandwidth.
Note:The bandwidth provided by the carrier is measured in Mbps and the upload software is measured in MB/s. Please note that the unit conversion is 1 MB/s = 8 Mbps.
You can temporarily remove the router and connect the computer to the broadband line to test the upload speed.
After a vro connects to a broadband line, it can achieve shared internet access between wired and wireless terminals. If a terminal in the intranet performs operations such as video chat and P2P online viewing, it will occupy a large amount of upstream bandwidth, resulting in a slow upload speed.
Please disconnect other terminals (including wired and wireless terminals) connected to the vro and use only the LAN port of a computer to connect to the vro for upload speed measurement. If the upload speed is normal at this time, we recommend that you set bandwidth control on the vro to assign bandwidth to the intranet terminal as needed. For how to set bandwidth control, see bandwidth control.
If the vro configures bandwidth control and bandwidth allocation is not reasonable, the upload speed will also be slow, as shown in the following figure:
Note:Make a reasonable allocation based on the actual uplink bandwidth.
Cancel the bandwidth control of the vro temporarily before testing the upload speed.
If P2P download software (such as thunder and BT) or hidden processes are started on the computer, the software will automatically upload data in the background even if no download operation is performed, the upstream bandwidth is used.
We recommend that you exit all downloaded software and then perform the upload test.
