The solution is simple. Instead of using the 64-bit awk, you can replace the awk that comes with ubuntu. It is in "/usr/bin/awk"

So the original awk name bit other names (I name here awk-x64) can create a reference

Then use: ln-S/usr/bin/awk

In this way, you can compile normally.
