Build an android development environment using eclipse in Ubuntu 11.04

1. Install JDK 1.6

Sudo apt-Get install sun-java6-jdk

Ii. Install eclipse

Download eclipse from the Ubuntu Software Center. Do not use the indigo version. Instead, use Galileo. I used the indigo version from the very beginning. The result is very strange!

3. Install the ADT plug-in

Start eclipse and select "help"> "install new software ..."

Select "add... ", enter development tools in" url ", select Android ddms and Android development tools, select the accept license option, and finish the download. It takes a long time. Please wait ~~

  4. Install the android SDK

After the installation is successful, you are prompted to restart eclipse and find that there is an android menu in the refactor menu bar, which indicates that the above steps are successful. Then download the corresponding version of Android SDK (I downloaded from http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html), decompress the package to generate a android-sdk-linux_x86 folder, the emulator IN THE Tools Folder is the simulator, and Android is the graphical interface of the SDK.

5. Associate eclipse

Start eclipse, select "window" --> "Preferences", select "android", and enter the SDK directory in "SDK location. In this way, eclipse and Android SDK are associated: Select "window" under eclipse"
--> "Android SDK and AVD manager" has the same effect as running tools/android on the command line. You can open the android SDK!

6. Start emulator

Before starting emulator, you must first create an AVD, and then start emulator by clicking start on the main interface of the SDK. The Android script starts to flash, after a long period of time, you can see the android interface ~~

Run the command line to start emulator:

CD tools

 ./Emulator-AVDXxx
-Ramdisk .. /platforms/Android-10/images/ramdisk. IMG-system .. /platforms/Android-10/images/system. IMG-initdata .. /platforms/Android-10/images/userdata. IMG (the blue part is modified based on your path !)

(Xxx is the name of the previously created AVD)
