Can SQL Server process millions or tens of millions of data?

Recently I think of the problem that I have been fooled for n times.

When I graduated, I was asked many times when I went to an interview about SQL Server's ability to process and optimize millions of data? Of course, I am talking about things from the east to the west. I have talked about a lot of methods to tell him how to improve query efficiency and how to optimize various application features.

After I blew it for half a day, I got a question and told me that the answer is: no, SQL Server is not, and it is better to change Oracle to a million.

At that time, I was always at a loss to accept the answer. Because I have never played, I have no say. (What I don't understand is why do you need to ask? Is it because I wrote on my resume that I would use SQL Server

Why? Today, I interviewed others, but I still don't understand the interviewer's mentality .)

...... Two years later ......

I am lucky to have spent millions of data on a small portal (but it is actually okay, not that small. It is a great honor to be able to play with a large number of real-time operations such as the BBS library.

When I was asked about SQL Server's processing capabilities again during the interview, I was very confident that SQL server could withstand millions of processing capabilities, I have also proved that it can. At this time, the interviewer is always very agile in thinking, and the problem is coming soon. How can this problem be solved?

Of course, my answer is unknown, because I have never played it, and I have to play it for another half a day to explain how to do it. I once again asked the interviewer the answer, but of course it was a relentless denial of SQL Server.

..... Another two years have passed ......

At present, we have the honor to play with the BBS, with over million records. Every day, hundreds of millions of records of tables have been queried for more than 10 million times. Of course, I have not gone to the interview, but I still really hope that I will not be asked if I can process tens of billions of SQL servers, the performance of hundreds of billions of data is not expected to tell me the answer is to change oracle.

I am so sad about SQL Server. Here, I would like to tell you the level of data processing and views on SQL Server, of course, you can also comment on others' views on SQL Server.
