1. First determine if Eclipse has its own maven
Window–> perferences If there is maven, it comes with the Maven plugin, and if not, it needs to be installed on its own.
2. Configure Maven
2.1. Configure the MAVEN installation directory
Open window–> perferences–> maven in turn, expand MAVEN's configuration interface, such as;
Then click installations–> Add to select the Maven installation directory, follow the steps to add, click Apply
2.2. Configuring MAVEN's global setting
Or, under MAVEN, click User Settings, and then select ${maven Install directory}/conf/settings.xml in global Settings. Local repository will automatically change
3. Create a MAVEN project
3.1. In the Eclipse menu bar, click File->new->other->maven->maven Project. Select Location, click Next, select Maven-archetype-webapp, click Next
3.2 Fill in the group ID and artifact ID, version default, click Finish
If an error occurs could not calculate build Plan:plugin org.apache.maven.plugins:maven-resources-plugin:2.5 or one of its dependenci ES could not being resolved. Then remove the plugin folder from the local repository Org\apache\maven directory.
