When developing these mobile apps, the development environment generally provides simulators, which are the same as real devices. You can use the Android SDK and AVD Manager to create a simulator.
2.1.1 create a simulator
Open the Android SDK and AVD Manager dialog box shown in Figure 2-11, and click New. The 2-12 dialog box appears:

· Name is the Name of the virtual device, which is customized by the user. Enter "2.2" here ".
· Target: select different SDK versions (dependent on the versions of the current SDK's platform environment ), select "Android 2.2-API Level 8" 2-13.

· SD Card: a simulated SD Card. You can select a size or an SD Card image file. The SD Card image file is created using the mksdcard tool. SD card is not defined here.
· Skin (Skin), here the meaning of the Skin is actually the size of the simulator running size, the default size has HVGA-P (320x480), HVGA-L (480x320), etc, you can also specify the size of the screen.
· Hardware: After selecting Target, this item is automatically filled in. You can specify the attributes of the Android system when the simulator is running.
Complete the information, as shown in Figure 2-14.

Click the Create AVD button. In the Android SDK and AVD Manager dialog box, an Android 2.2-based simulator named "2.2" is displayed, as shown in 2-15. The simulator is created.
