Deploy applications to Windows Phone 7

We all know that all applications on Windows Phone 7 will use marketplace for distribution. What should developers do? Debugging programs on devices cannot be downloaded from marketplace. Fortunately, Microsoft has taken this issue into consideration. We can directly deploy the program on an authorized development machine.

To deploy/debug your application on Windows Phone 7, you need to make the following preparations:

1. Register the developer account of marketplace or xNa creator club. It is now integrated into the app hub. This service is not currently available to users in mainland China, so if you want to register a user, please try to solve this problem on your own. Note: it is not enough to register a user in APP hub. It must be an account with an annual fee of $99.

2. Download and install the latest Zune application. Windows Phone 7 does not use Windows Mobile Device Center to connect to a computer, but uses the Zune application.

3. Connect your Windows Phone 7 with a USB cable and a PC. The Zune application automatically pops up.

4. Open "Windows Phone developer registration" in Windows Phone Developer Tools"

5. Make sure that the Windows Phone 7 is connected to the PC and the Zune application is enabled. Make sure that the Windows Phone 7 is not locked.

6. Enter the Windows Live ID and password in your app hub, and then click "Registry"

7. After Windows Phone developer registration and server verification, it will unlock your Windows Phone 7.
If the above message is displayed, the Windows Phone 7 is successfully unlocked. You can use Visual Studio 2010 or blend, alternatively, the "Application Deployment" tool in Windows Phone Developer Tools deploys xap on Windows Phone 7.

Note: Each developer account can only unlock three machines. (Note that each unlocked machine can only have 10 different programs in side loading ). So when you make sure you don't need the machine, don't forget to use the "Windows Phone developer Registry" tool to unlock the device, so that it will not occupy the number of your unlock device places (if you forget to unregister from here, you can also cancel it from the app hub ).
