What is Xen-shell?

The Xen shell is part of the Xen virtual machine, a Xen external virtual operating platform that can help you manage your virtual machines better. When your virtual machine fails to log in, we can use it to start, pause, stop, restart, and so on. If you don't understand it, after referencing our tutorial, you'll see how easy that is.

1, Login Xen-shell:

Note: This is not a VPS IP, but a VPS server IP, this can contact your VPS provider's customer service.

4, Xen-shell order detailed:

Boot: Start VPS. This command is only valid if the system is in a closed state.

Console: Connected to the VPS console, which is equivalent to logging on to the VPS system. Press CTRL +] to exit the VPS console and return to Xen-shell.

Exit: Quit Xen-shell.

Help: Displays assistance. You can use the command name as a parameter to help to display the detailed usage of this command. If you do not attach any parameters, just list all the commands and a simple description.

passwd: Modify the password used to log on to Xen-shell.

Pause: Stop VPS. Note that the stop is not closed, and the unpause can be used to make the VPS run immediately without the need to start the process.

Quit: With exit, Exit Xen-shell.

Reboot: Reboot the VPS.

Serial: With console, connect to VPS console.

Shutdown: Close VPS.

Status: Displays the current status of the VPS.

Sysreq: Send Sysreq command to VPS.

Top: Displays the usage of the server's current resources. Because other customer information will be displayed, we have blocked this command.

Unpause: Launch VPS. This command is valid only if the VPS is in pause state.

Uptime: Displays the parent server system and the uptime of the VPS system (elapsed time).

Version: Displays the versions of the Xen-shell.

WHOAMI: The account that is currently logged on to the Xen-shell.

5. Exit Xen-shell

If you enter console to log on to your host, after you exit your host, be sure to press CTRL + to exit to the console and then enter quit exit Xen-shell to ensure information security.
