Eclipse 3.4 plug-in Installation Method
In the past, there were only two ways to install the Eclipse plug-in: directly copy the plug-in to the features/Plugins directory or create a link file under the links directory. the newly released eclipse 3.4 introduces another new installation method, which is more flexible. There isDropinsDirectory, you only need to put the plug-in under this directory to load, there are several formats available.
1. Put the jar package directlyDropinsDirectory:
Eclipse/
Dropins/
Com. essiembre. Eclipse. i18n. resourcebundle_0.7.7
2. the traditional format is put in the same eclipse directory:
Eclipse/
dropins /
Eclipse/
features/
plugins/
3. by plug-in name:
Eclipse/
dropins /
resourcebundleeditor/
features/
plugins/
m2eclipse/
features/
plugins/
4. Add links in a similar way as links:
Eclipse/
Dropins/
Xfire. Link
If only one eclipse is installed, the third method is recommended; otherwise, the fourth method is used.
If the installation is ineffective, you can delete \ Configuration \ org. Eclipse. Update under the eclipse main directory, and then execute eclipse-clean to try again.
