I was asked by my colleague two days ago how to import files from other directories in a project that was previously created without copying the source files.

Tidy up a little bit to summarize the current knowledge of the Eclipse File Import method:

1. directly import the project you have created

through Eclipse directly Import, existing project

2. Create a new project

the simplest and most brutal way to edit or view files in a specified directory is to create a new project and point the project path to where the code is stored

3. Import Files in the created project

In daily use, you will often encounter the need to add new files to existing projects, code editing and viewing

3.1 Copy the source files directly to the specified directory of the target project ---most commonly used

When you press F5 refresh on the project, the newly added files ( directories ) appear directly under the project directory tree

3.2 Drag a given folder to project via import->filesystem in Eclipse or directly with the mouse Specify directory

This method is Eclipse first, all files are automatically copied to Project after the corresponding directory in the master path,

After you import the copied target file into the Project in

3.3 adding source code paths through project

1) for editors with Jydev plugins,

through Project - In the property bar in the right-click - Java Build path-Link source Add code path in

2) for Pydev Project

for the already built Project , right-click in the new column Folder -- in the dialog box, select advanced>>

Specify the folder address you want to connect to - OK
