symptom: Slow start of eclipse, often unresponsive to boot completion. Occasionally when an item is opened, it also appears to be unresponsive.
Cause: There is not enough virtual memory, or the computer itself is out of memory. However, most of the current PCs, memory should be sufficient, so you can modify the virtual memory parameters to solve.
Workaround:
In the Eclipse installation directory, replace the last few lines of the Eclipse.ini file with boldface words in the last few lines below.
-startup
Plugins/org.eclipse.equinox.launcher_1.1.0.v20100507.jar
--launcher.library
plugins/org.eclipse.equinox.launcher.win32.win32.x86_1.1.0.v20100503
-product
org.eclipse.epp.package.jee.product
--launcher.defaultaction
OpenFile
--launcher. Xxmaxpermsize
256M
-showsplash
Org.eclipse.platform
--launcher. Xxmaxpermsize

--launcher.defaultaction
