Eclipse programming tips (1)-startup failed due to image resource file Error

We use cvsnt for source code management server and eclipse3.0 for development. After submitting the GIF resource file to the server and then checkout it out, it is found that the GIF file has been changed, and it has greatly changed with the original file. When the program is running (using eclispe RCP), a message similar to "open page error" appears, and the program does not respond (even the interface does not exist ).
I started from the source code, modified the configuration file, and debugged the problem. Later I thought that there would be an error in the GIF file, so I overwrite all the GIF files detected from CVs with the original backup.
Using eclipse3.1 seems to be able to avoid the problem of modifying binary files such as GIF, or the version of cvsnt? It's not clear.
