When using Eclipse for Java Web Development, the jar referenced in the web app needs to be copied to the Lib directory under Web-inf, otherwise classnotfound exceptions are often encountered.
With the ability to manually copy jar packages, eclipse itself proactively replicates the jar packages referenced in Projectbuild path to the Lib directory under Web-inf, such as the following:
1. Right-click Project. Select Properties (Attributes)
Select Deployment Assembly. For example, with:
2. Click on the right side of the AddButton, for example:
3. Select the Java Building Path entries option, for example:
All the referenced jars in all projects are selected. Click Finish to do so. Deploy to the server again, and then proactively copy the jar package referenced in build path to the Lib directory under Web-inf.
Eclipse will actively replicate the jar package referenced in Projectbuild path to the Lib directory under Web-inf
