Example of setting mysql automatic backup in ubuntu for your reference
1. Create the path to save the mysql backup file/mysqldata
# Mkdir/mysqldata
2. Create the/usr/sbin/bakmysql file.
# Nano/usr/sbin/bakmysql

Mysqldump -- all-databases-uroot-p password>/var/mysqlbak/mysql. SQL
Note: -- all-databases backs up all databases to the mysql. SQL file under mysqlbak. If you replace -- all-databases with test, only the test database is backed up.
3. Modify file attributes to make them executable.
# Chmod + x/usr/sbin/bakmysql
4. Modify/etc/crontab
# Nano/etc/crontab
Add the following content:
01 3 *** root/usr/sbin/bakmysql
Indicates that the backup is performed regularly at three o'clock every day.
5. Restart crond.
#/Etc/init. d/cron restar
Complete.
