Friends who use OS X will always use the built-in screen function of the system. Although this small function is very quick to use, you only need a shortcut key to complete it, however, there will also be a variety of undesirable things. For example, by default, all screen formats are PNG and stored on the desktop. In some cases, you can convert a successfully captured image to another format.
Today we will introduce you to five tips on the OS x screen function. Using these settings or operations will make you a real OS X screen expert. Let's first review the two methods of OS X!
+ Shift + 3: This shortcut key combination allows you to capture the entire screen and store it directly on the desktop. The file starts with "screen snapshot", followed by the date and time.
+ Shift + 4: This shortcut key combination allows you to take part of the screen, the specific size can be changed by dragging the selection box, the file will be automatically saved on the desktop. Of course, there are many other shortcut keys in the OS X system, but the two mentioned here are the most frequently used.
1: Change the default folder for saving files
<Ignore_js_op>
After that, I found my desktop messy? So we can transfer the default storage location of the file. For example, we will create a folder in the photo folder, open the terminal application, and enter the following command to save the folder in the image folder by default.
- Defaults write com. Apple. screencapture location ~ /Pictures //
CopyCode
After the command is executed, You need to restart systemuiserver to take effect. The following command can complete this operation.
- Killall systemuiserver
Copy code
Cut down the graph and try to see if the file is saved in a folder.
2: changed File Format
<Ignore_js_op>
By default, the command will directly save files in PNG format, but the size of the files in PNG format is very large. If you want to directly capture images in smaller sizes, the JPG format is very suitable, the following command saves the image generated by the function in JPG format by default:
- Defaults write com. Apple. screencapture type JPG
Copy code
Similarly, you need to restart systemuiserver to make the command take effect.
- Killall systemuiserver
Copy code
In addition, you can change the JPG file in the command line to another file format, such as GIF, Tif, and PDF. If you want to use the default settings, change the format to PNG.
3: difficult to complete through the timing Function
<Ignore_js_op>
In the system utility folder, there is a tool called "screenshot". You can use the timer function of this application to take pictures that are difficult to intercept. Enable the Image Capture Application, click the "capture" command in the menu bar, and then select "screen timing". Then, the timer function will automatically display the screen after 10 seconds. If you take 10 seconds for too long or too short, you can use the following command to change the scheduled time to 3 seconds:
- Screencapture-T 3 osxdaily.jpg
Copy code
Change 3 in the command line to any number, so that the timing function can be enabled within the set time.
4: Cut the mouse pointer or custom pointer into the graph on the screen
<Ignore_js_op>
The "screenshot" application mentioned above has other practical small functions. In the preference settings of the Image Capture Application, select the desired mouse pointer shape. After the selection, we can use the timing function above to intercept the mouse pointer.
5: Move the selected region
<Ignore_js_op>
Pass+ Shift + 4 function, we can select the desired part on the screen. If the selected selection box does not match the desired position, then, we can press the Space key to change the location of the original selected area.
