1. Install WebTop2SD (including config, Lxterminal, and Synaptic)
2. WebTopScripts (including chromium installation)
3. Install common software (thunar, eog, abiword, gnumeric, chmsee ...)
4. Replace BusyBox (install xz, coreutils, findutils, grep)
5. install JAVA (OpenJDK, FreeMind)
6. Install Pidgin

The ubuntu contained in Webtop was reduced by MOTO and has only two applications: Firefox and file manager.
All other applications are either in the Android version, and a small window is displayed on the screen to simulate the running of the Android app. However, unlike the mobile phone, the tag-based multitasking method is used here.
Either for the Web version, QQ is WebQQ, and it runs in Firefox.
Therefore, it is necessary to brush the full-featured ubuntu after LapDock.
This installation method requires the mobile phone to be ROOT, but does not need to be unlocked.

1. Install WebTop2SD (including config, Lxterminal, and Synaptic)

There are several considerations:

First, you need to disable the display in the phone options to never disable the display, and then uninstall the SD card in the options to prevent text message interference, it is best to set it to flight mode (I did not directly plug in the SIM card ).

Then, you must have a TF card. Because you need to partition it separately, it cannot be packed in the phone memory.

The recommended partition size is about 4-5 GB, which may cause partition or file copy failure.

Finally, if the installation fails, restart your phone and try again. If the partition option is not optional when you try again, unplug the TF card and use the tool to clear the partition on your computer. format it as a normal FAT partition and insert it back to your phone. If repeated failures occur, go to Recovery for dual wipe.

In addition, some documents say that busybox or lxterminal needs to be installed before running webtop2sd, which is not required for earlier versions of webtop2sd. These two items will be installed on their own.

After successful webtop2sd installation, insert the mobile phone to the Dock and start webtop. The webtop2sd config icon is displayed at the bottom of the screen.

If you are prompted to update APT or something, select "yes ". There should be two pop-up windows, both of which select "yes ". It will take a long time to wait.

Close the window and click Administrator on the left. Lxterminal and Synaptic must be installed on the right. First, click the Install button of Lxterminal, and the program will not respond. Please wait patiently. In the meantime, you can click the Lxterminal icon below. If a black box is displayed, it will disappear immediately, it indicates that the device has not been installed. Wait. The installation is complete only when you click Lxterminal to display a command line window.

Then, click the Install button of Synaptic and wait patiently. In the meantime, you can enter sudo synaptic in Lxterminal. If the command cannot be found, it indicates that it has not been installed until the new version can be started properly. Here, we will prompt the software package to be damaged, ignore it, and exit the program.

2. WebTopScripts (including chromium installation)

Use the latest version 1.7 downloaded from google code, for example, in the download folder of the mobile phone memory:

Select Yes for all the pop-up windows, which may be very slow in some cases, because you need to download a lot of things, please be patient. If conditions are met, it is recommended to connect to a foreign VPN (the VPN is connected to the settings of the mobile phone), which can be much faster.

In addition, there are some personal suggestions for this installation, but those who are not familiar with the Linux system do not suggest trying:

First, the principle of this script is to download all deb packages from launchpad to the WebTopScripts/packages directory. However, if the script is interrupted, run the script again, it will delete all the files in this directory to ensure that there will be no incomplete download files, but this will greatly reduce the efficiency. Therefore, you can use sudo vi setup. sh command to edit the script, comment out one of the rm packages (add one at the beginning #), then, use thunder to pre-download all deb packages and put them in the packages directory to run the script, which is much faster. All deb package addresses are stored in the WebTopScripts/scripts/config.txt file.

Under normal circumstances, you can completely fix apt after successfully running this script. Then you can upgrade apt to the latest version:

After installation, you can start to install the chromium browser. In fact, this is already included in webtopscripts1.7.

Similarly, if VPN or the pre-download method is not used, the process will be slow and slow.

3. Install common software (thunar, eog, abiword, gnumeric, chmsee ...)

These are the original ones in apt, which are easy to install and can also be installed with a new version. But here we will introduce the apt installation, because the command line is easy to use text instructions, the graphical interface is too much trouble.

Vinagre: Remote Desktop client that supports VNC protocol.
