Today, I watched other colleagues try to use the Android mobile phone system. I couldn't help it, and I turned my M8 into a wince and Android dual system to try it out.
The entire process of flash is smooth. The steps are as follows:
- Back up M8 data first to avoid losing any historical data, especially the address book and text message;
- Download the android Rom. The Rom I used is the 9994 revised version + a13.5 new kernel dual-boot firmware version. Currently, there are basically no problems in use.
You can also use other versions on the network, such as teamlbe Android Rom release_a13.5_101229. For instructions and tutorials, you can refer to this article on the niao.com, or use m8 android_for_a13.5_one-click to download ll_bz0.3, for instructions on this ROM, please refer to the latest dual system firmware M9ROw-A13.5.Article.
I don't know which Rom is good or bad. If you are interested, you can give it a try.
- Set M8 to the USB flash drive synchronization mode, and copy the xip. bin in the decompressed folder and the content in the lbe_android directory to the/disk directory of the M8 mobile phone.
If the downloaded Rom package does not contain xip. BIN file, you need to make one by yourself. You can use the zimage and m8tinyloader.exe provided in the compressed package with MPack and the official ce firmware to create a dual-boot xip. BIN file.
- Next, we will use the M8 flash brush method, that is, the method mentioned in the M8 conventional firmware upgrade article.
Finally, we would like to remind you that in the M8 Android system, the shutdown method is to press the power key long to go out of the shutdown menu.
