ORACLEBIEE Installation Tutorials
1.1.OBIEE Overview
1.1.1.BIEE History
Biee:oraclebusinessintelligenceenterpriseedition
Oracle acquired Siebel at the end of 05 and took its front-end development tool Siebelanalytics as a new platform for Oraclebi. Distinguish the original discoverer, called EnterpriseEdition, and the original discoverer became standardedition. The combination of the two parts, plus xe, so there are so-called standardseditionone. This is the simple origin of OBIEE, Obise and Obiseone.
Oracle received Hyperion in 07, and then took some components of HYPERIONBI, merging them into the current obieeplus.
1.2.BIEE Installation
1.2.1.JDK Requirements
Download JDK1.5 above and install it and download it from http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp. I'm using a JDK1.6. If it is copied, remember to manually add the system environment variables, such as:
1.2.1. Hardware requirements (minimum requirements)
Component CPU memory hard disk space
Oraclebusinessintelligenceservercomponents
Oraclebusinessintelligenceserver
Oraclebusinessintelligenceadministratortool
ORACLEBUSINESSINTELLIGENCESCHEDULER1GHZ2GB2GB+2GB (Cache)
ORACLEBUSINESSINTELLIGENCEPRESENTATIONSERVER1GHZ2GB2GB+2GB (Cache)
1.2.2. Download Biee
It can be downloaded from otnhttp://www.oracle.com/technology/software/index.html or downloaded from edeliveryhttp://edelivery.oracle.com. But the latter is hard to connect at home. I'm using a 10.1.3.3.3.
The installation file name under Windows is Biee_windows_x86_101330_disk1.zip, which is approximately 1.3GB in size. After decompression, there will be three folders, such as:
Where the Client_ancillary folder has Briefingbookreader (BIEE provides the save of the report snapshot, the snapshot file is opened using the Reader tool), and the installation file for the Open interface.
The server folder is the installation file for the BIEE principal server.
Server_ancillary is the BIEE Companion desktop component Bioffice and Bipublisher, which can be used for desktop collaboration and generating advanced reports.
The components in Client_ancillary and server_ancillary are individually installed separately from the theme server as needed.
Note: Chinese is not available in the file path of the installation directory and the directory where the installation files are stored.
1.2.3.1 Complete Installation Biee
1. Running ~serveroracle_business_intelligencesetup.exe
2.C disk needs 200M, the installation disk needs more than 2G disk space, in fact, installed only occupied space 1.43G around.
3. Select Basic installation, set the installation path, try to avoid special characters in Chinese path and directory name, installation type General Select Basic, using this type of installation, BIEE webserver will be provided by oracleoc4j components, If you select an advanced type, the predecessor installation oracleas10g is required.
4. Select Complete Installation, Next
5. Set the JDK directory and Oc4jadmin password (also set to Oc4jadmin)
6. Set the service account, keep the default value LocalSystem, password empty, the following service types are all changed to manual, need to use the time to manually start, or the system starts too slow.
7. Select the language of the error message, and leave the default value 中文版
8. It will be installed before the installation is formally started. NetFramework2.0 and vc++2005redistributable, the entire installation process lasted about 30 minutes, but soon found that the progress bar is 100%, patience to wait . A restart is required after the entire installation is complete.
After installation, it is recommended that the registry start load location on the oc4j Delete, need to open oraclebiinteractivedashboards, startoc4j can.
1.2.3.2 Distribution Installation Biee
The distributed installation installs different components on different machines, the installation method is the same as the above complete installation method, when running to the following screen, you select the components you need to install, and then install.
The following components can be distributed for installation:
Oraclebusinessitelligenceserver: Install the server component.
Oraclebusinessintelligencepresentationservers: Presentation server components.
Oraclebusinessintelligenceclienttools: Client Tools.
Oraclebusinessintelligencedisconnectedclient:
Oraclebusinessintelligencepublisher:
Custom:
BIEE also has a number of third-party components that work together, and are not covered here.
1.2.4.Logs
BIEE directory has a lot of log logs, you can easily locate errors, respectively:
Installation log for 1.BI: ~oraclebiloginstall.log
Log files for 2.BIServer: ~oraclebiserverlog
3.BIPresentationServer log: ~oraclebidataweblogsawlog0.log
4.JobManager log: ~oraclebidatajobmanager
Error log for 5.iBot: ~oraclebiserverlogibots
6.Scheduler log: ~oraclebiserverlognqscheduler.log
1.3. Configuration
1.3.1. Post-installation directory
After the installation of the directory is very clean, just two:
1.OracleBI Directory Storage Biserver Repository, configuration files, etc.;
The 2.OracleBIData includes the report directory file in Bipresentation and the presentation-related configuration file.
1.3.2. Several important configuration files
1.~oraclebiservernqsconfig.ini configuration of the main parameters of biserver, such as repository, cache and so on. Change this file to restart the Biserver service to take effect.
The following configurations are mainly available:
[REPOSITORY] configuration, the default is a demo BIPAINT.RPD, modified to need to configure to the master server repository ***.RPD.
Star=paint.rpd,default;
[Cache] Cache configuration, the default is enabled, can be changed to No, general changes in the development process to No.
Enable=yes;
2.~oraclebiserverrepository directory is mainly biserver repository files, Biserver can only put the RPD file in this directory online loading.
The catalog folder under the 3.~oraclebidataweb folder contains information such as the definition of the report. The Config folder contains some important configuration files, especially InstanceConfig.xml. It configures some important information about the Bipresentation instance, such as which catalog folder is used. After you modify this file, you need to restart the Oraclebipresentationserver service to take effect.
Path: ~oraclebidatawebconfiginstanceconfig.xml. Need to read carefully. Focus First:
Front desk report showing directory Catalogpath, default is oraclebidata/web/catalog/
C:/oraclebidata/web/catalog/paint
1.4. Preview Demo Effect
1.4.1. Start the BI service and oc4j
First look at the following three services are started, if not, to start manually:
Oraclebiserver
Oraclebipresentationserver
Oraclebijavahost
Then start the OC4J service (that is, startoc4j in the Start program), and may have warnings after running, ignoring, as
1.4.2. Open the BIEE instrument panel
Open Oraclebusinessintelligence/welcometooraclebiee in the program, click Oraclebiinteractivedashboards, log in with Administrator, The password is also administrator (set at the front of the installation), such as:
