The R & D and promotion process after Hp absorbed Palm is on the right track. In the past month, HP has released webOS 2.1 OS updates to users of Palm Plus and Palm 2. However, the SDK for the system is still in the "Early Access program" confidential by NDA and is only available to a few developers. Last weekend, HP finally announced that the webOS 2.1 SDK is open for all developers.
Major updates to webOS 2.1 SDK include:
◆ New webOS functions are supported, such as Just Type, Exhibition, and Synergy.
◆ Build a hybrid application with HTML, Jaguar, CSS, and C/C ++.
◆ Use node. js to develop the JavaScript webOS service.

HP also specifically reminds developers that their software should be optimized for the Pixi 320x400 resolution screen as soon as possible. Because the entry-level webOS new Veer, which uses the same screen specification, will soon be available, and HP will vigorously promote this product.
As for the future, HP said that developers interested in preparing software for webOS tablets and other next-generation devices can join the HP development program and get the webOS 3.0 SDK for development in advance.
