Windows 7 64-bit Oracle SQL Developer tool, win7developer
In the process of using Oracle SQL, a lot of reference materials, counseling institutions, and various books are mostly explained using PL/SQL, but the problem is that PL/SQL does not provide good support for WIN7 64-bit systems, there are a variety of configuration tutorials on the Internet. I tried a lot and did not solve the problem well. In fact, the best solution is to use the Oracle SQL Developer downloaded from the Oracle SQL official website, after configuring Oracle SQL Developer, Mom no longer has to worry about using the database.
The installation and configuration steps are as follows:
Step 1. Install Oracle 11g (server and client)
1. Download Oracle 11g Release 2 for Microsoft Windows (64x) from the Oracle official website. decompress the two compressed files after the download is successful;
2. Click setup.exe to start installation. Set the path to be installed. Select the standard version. When configuring the global database password, you must note that the Oracle password must be a combination of uppercase letters, lowercase letters, and numbers (indispensable) and must be greater than 8 digits. After the password is set, the installation will be successful;
3. Install the Oracle 11g client. My installation path is c: \ Software \ oracle \ product \ 11.2.0. (Disk C has GB of partition space .)
Ps: in fact, the installation and configuration process can be completely in accordance with the official instructions, in fact, the solution of many problems on the official website is quite good.
Step 2. Install Oracle SQL Developer
1. download and install the development tool Oracle SQL Developer from the Oracle official website. Remember to download the version that matches your operating system;
2. Check whether your computer has been installed and configured with JDK. For specific installation and environment changes, click sqlcmd.exe and select the JDK installation directory of your computer.
3. After JDK is installed and environment changes are successfully configured, restart sqlcmd.exe and log on successfully!
Step 3. Oracle SQL Developer new connection configuration 1. After startup, create an Oracle SQL Developer connection in the left-side window, as shown in:
This process is very important and directly determines the success or failure. The specific precautions are as follows:
(1) The connection name can be any name
(2) The username is the global username of the Oracle database.
(3) The password is a global password.
(4) The default host name is localhost. We recommend that you use the default value. Generally, the host name is set by the Net Manager tool. The default value is localhost, the IP addresses of some computers are automatically assigned each time. In this way, the connection will be affected every time a new connection is established.
(5) The port is 1521 and the service name is orcl. If you are not sure about the service name, you can view the Net Manager information, as shown in:
2. The configuration is complete, the test is successful, click Save, and a new connection is successfully added. Please start your Oracle Database journey happily! Figure shows the truth, as shown in:
