Azure 5New monthly release (2 ):CDN image processing function, CDN Restful API, new CDN Management Portal, extended measurement name change
Open Public Preview for Azure CDN Image Processing
The image processing function of Azure CDN is available to users in Public Preview versions to meet the processing requirements for image size, cropping, and quality. This feature is provided as a value-added service of Azure CDN for free. You need to create a CDN acceleration node of the "image processing" acceleration type. With the image processing feature of Azure CDN, You can scale, crop, rotate, sharpen, blur, compare the watermark brightness, convert the image format, and obtain image information, flexible adaptation to various terminal sizes, image display styles on different pages, and watermark anti-theft requirements. For different versions of the same image, you only need to store an original image on the source site. Other versions can be accessed by adding different processing parameters to the CDN node. Please refer to the technical documentation Azure CDN image service for more information.
Azure CDN Restful API officially launched
The Azure cdn api is officially launched for users to manage CDN resources. You only need to add the corresponding request parameters to the API request according to the interface instructions for CDN node management. You can perform the following operations on CDN nodes through APIS:
1. Domain Name management-create, delete, enable, and disable CDN nodes under Azure subscription, query and update CDN node information, and set cache rules;
2. view traffic information by month, day, hour, or minute based on subscription or a single domain name;
3. Content Management-Cache refresh and pre-load;
4. query the status of asynchronous operations, such as cache refreshing and pre-loading.
For more details, see the CDN Restful API documentation.
New Azure CDN Management Portal Public Preview Edition
The new Azure CDN Management Portal is available to all users. After a new design, the new Azure CDN Management Portal classifies functional modules to improve ease of use and visual display. In addition to the original CDN node domain name management, traffic bandwidth query, cache refreshing, pre-loading, and other functional modules, the new Azure CDN Management Portal also adds a new function module "Security Management ", you can apply for an interface key for authentication and authorization in the newly launched Azure CDN Restful API.
For more details, see the new version of Azure CDN management portal user guide.
Change of metering name will be extended
At the request of some customers, we will delay the time for standardized metering names to retain more time conversion reports to the new format. Once the new change date is determined, we will send you a notification. This change makes it easier for you to manage Azure resources and categorize features pages, detailed data usage, APIs, and invoices of your Azure website. These changes do not affect metering data usage, price, or metering ID. For more information about metering name change, visit the Azure metering name change page.
