  • The GPU acceleration replacement routine provided by gpucv is compatible with opencv. Image processing application programmers do not need to care about the graphic context or hardware, and sample applications are provided by the program. Programmers can automatically manage colors, textures, and advanced OpenGL extensions. Its framework transparently manages hardware functions, data synchronization, low-level glsl and Cuda solutions, fast dynamic testing, and the most effective switchover, finally, a set of image processing operations on the gpucv accelerator are provided. In addition, gpucv also provides some advanced operations, such as morphological and edge detection, matrix multiplication, and discrete Fourier transformation.

Gpucv is an open-sourceGPU-Accelerated image processing andCOmputerVIsion library. it offers an Intel's opencv-like programming interface for easily porting existing opencv applications, while taking advantage of the high level of parallelism and computing power available from recent graphics processing units (GPUs ). it is distributed as free software under the cecill-B license.
