Hadoop configuration errors (including using eclipse to configure hadoop in Windows)

I recently set up a hadoop HDFS environment and first came into contact with this distributed file system, so I must have encountered many problems. Please record them here.

I. Version problems, although the current stable version of the official website is hadoop-0.20.203, but in eclipse, the version of the hadoop plug-in cannot connect to HDFS, the following error is reported

"Error: failure to login"

So instead of the hadoop-0.20.2 version, you can choose other versions

II. The hadoop plug-in is under the contrib \ eclipse-plugin directory of the release package, copy the jar to the eclipse plugins directory, and load the plug-in.

3. To successfully load the hadoop plug-in eclipse, the Java version in the system must be 1.6 (not tested in version 1.6 or later). We recommend that you run "Java-version" in the DOS environment ", view Java version

4. The version of The hadoop plug-in should be consistent with the hadoop version on the server. Otherwise, the following error will be reported when HDFS is connected to eclipse.

"CAll

Java. Io. eofexception"
