--Prepare for work
First, your device needs to run iOS 7 (or more) and OS X Yosemite versions of the system to achieve Cross-platform file transfer. In addition, the user transmits the Mac must also be 2012 or after the model, the iOS device model must be iPhone5 or after, the ipad 4 or after, the ipad Mini, or is the fifth generation ipod touch. You can click the Finder icon in the dock and select the "Enter" icon in the menu bar. If you don't see AirDrop, it proves that your Mac does not support this feature.
Apple said the two devices to be transferred must remain within 9 meters. If your Mac turns on the firewall, you need to enter the menu bar > System Preferences > General > Security and Privacy > Firewall > Firewall option to ensure that "block all connections" is not checked.
Although two devices do not need to log on to the same icloud account, doing so can omit the allowed steps for each transmission. In addition, iOS and Mac devices must be powered on and unlocked when transmitting.
--Step
1. Turn on the Wi-Fi feature of the two devices. IOS: Set >wi-fi,mac: Menu bar >Wi-Fi> turn on Wi-Fi. But even if the two devices are using a different Wi-Fi network, AirDrop can also work.

You can also use the built-in sharing application for file sharing. After clicking on the share icon and selecting AirDrop, you will see a list of devices available for file reception.
5. File transfers from iOS devices to Macs can be done in any application that supports sharing. As with the operation on the Mac, the sharing menu will also contain AirDrop options. For example, if you want to share a picture, click the Share button in the app, choose AirDrop, and then select the Mac you want to share. Your Mac should then display a hint.
--Troubleshoot
Since OS X Yosemite online, some users have encountered problems crossing iOS devices and Mac for file sharing. Restarting two devices can solve the problem, according to user feedback from Apple's official support forum. If the device does not recognize each other, make sure that airdrop is set to "everyone" instead of "contact only".
