Is there a way to log in to multiple MSN accounts at the same time? For example, an account for work, a family friend contact.
It can be done through the MSN Shell or some third-party software. However, is your MSN version compatible with the plugin? Are some third party software safe?
Not so complicated, MSN itself is actually supporting multiple account login, as long as a slight modification of the registry can activate this feature.
If time is limited, you can modify the registry directly by using the Fixit gadget in method one. If you are curious about what steps are included in the Fixit gadget, it is easy to introduce it in detail in method two, and you can make manual changes by yourself.
Method One: Fixit is repaired automatically. Please download the use tool in the appendix of this Knowledge Base.
Method Two: do-it-yourself repair.
1. Click "Run" from the Start menu (or simply press the shortcut key combination "Win+r"), type the command regedit.exe, enter. Open Registry Editor.
(If pop-up User Account Control window, please allow to continue)
Tip: Serious problems may occur if the registry is incorrectly modified. Therefore, make sure that you follow these steps carefully. To increase protection, please back up the registry before modifying it.
2. If you use a 32-bit operating system, navigate to the key value: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindows Livemessenger
(If you are using a 64-bit operating system, navigate to the key value: Hkey_local_machinesoftwarewow6432nodemicrosoftwindows Livemessenger)
3. In the Right Detail window blank, right mouse click, select "New-dword value".
Name the new value "Multipleinstances" and double-click it to assign a value of 1.
That's it. Exit the registry and log on to MSN again. Now we can log in at the same time with different accounts. As long as you like, you can even chat with yourself Oh!
