How to solve browser access error when Tomcat is started in eclipse

After the Tomcat server is configured in eclipse and the start server is successful, enter http: // localhost: 8080/in the browser. The Error 404 is displayed and the normal Tomcat page cannot be seen.

The main cause is the Tomcat server configuration in eclipse,

Double-click the added server "Tomcat v7.0 server @ localhost" on the server"

Get server locations in overview (Overview), and select the following 2nd options:

. Use workspace metadata (does not modify tomcat installation );

.Use tomcat installation (take control of Tomcat installation );

.Use custom location (does not modify tomcat installation);

In addition, there are two parameter input boxes below this option:

1. server path (tomcat or eclipse root directory,"Use M Location" option)

2. Deploy path (root directory of the project file. Tomcat is generally webapps, and wtpwebapps is generally in workspace)

Note: to modify this option, first remove the project deployed under "Tomcat v7.0 server @ localhost" and start and stop modification!

I changed to: D: \ Program Files \ Apache Software Foundation \ Tomcat 7.0 \ webapps

Last save, restart the server "Tomcat v7.0 server @ localhost"
