How to switch between a Linux GUI and a text interface

Switching from the character interface to the graphical interface can be implemented in two simple ways:
1. Enter startx or init 5 on the Character interface.
2. By editing the/etc/inittab file, the GUI is displayed by default.
Change "3" in "ID: 3: initdefault" to "5". After the system is started, the system enters the graphic interface mode.

In the real machine environment, switch between the graphic interface and the text interface:
CTRL + ALT + f (N), where F (n) is the F1-F6, 6 consoles;
CTRL + ALT + F7;

In the virtual machine environment, switch between the graphic interface and the text interface:
Under the vmwarevm, the graphic interface switches to the text interface, which is related to the virtual machine settings. By default, the VM occupies CTRL + ALT as the hot key. Therefore, the graphic interface switches to the text interface with the combination key:
CTRL + ALT + Shift + f (N), where F (n) is the F1-F6;
The combination keys for switching from the text interface to the graphic interface are:
Alt + F7;
