Failure phenomena:
Lenovo Wireless Connection Center integrated in the "Lenovo Home Platform" Software, the computer installed the software can be used as a wireless router, so that other wireless connection to the computer's device or terminal (such as smartphones, pad, etc.), can share network resources.
Solution:
1. If the model of this software is preinstalled, there will be a wireless connection icon on the desktop, as shown below:
2. Double-click the icon shown in 1 (Wireless Connection Center), open, found the following interface, the AP name and password to set the appropriate name and password (password is 8–63 characters, this name and password can only be changed when the connection is not started, the connection will not change after startup), and then select a shared connection, When choosing a shared connection, please select the connection you are currently connected to, such as: Local connection (called Ethernet under Win8 System), wireless network connection (called Wi-Fi in Win8 system) or broadband connection, click to start, as shown below:
After you start the Wireless Connection Center, locate the network connection (right-click the wireless network icon in the lower-right corner of the desktop---Open Network and Sharing Center---change adapter settings) A "Local Area Connection" icon with the word "virtual network adapter" appears in the following image:
3. Setting up sharing
Before you can use the Wireless Connection center, you need to share your local or broadband connection to the virtual network adapter (you don't have to understand the meaning, look down), as follows:
Find "open Network and Sharing Center" (right click the Wireless network connection icon in the lower right corner of the desktop, "Open Network and Sharing Center" appears), as shown below:
Then left click on "Open Network and Sharing Center", open the following image as shown below:
Then click "Change Adapter Settings" On the left, as shown in the following figure:
Then select a shared connection and choose a shared connection: Select a connection that is currently connected to the network, such as a local connection (called Ethernet under the WIN8 system), a wireless network connection (called Wi-Fi in the WIN8 system), or a broadband connection.
Using different ways of surfing, sharing settings are different, generally divided into three kinds:
A. Use the broadband connection to the Internet, corresponding to select "Broadband connection";
B. Use a line connected by a network or a non-dial connection, corresponding to select "Local Area Connection (Ethernet)";
C. Use a wireless connection to connect to the Internet, and select Wi-Fi internet connection.
So how to set up the sharing of three kinds of internet ways separately? Please read the following description:
1. Internet users using broadband connection
Note: Home use of Internet connection is PPPoE mode (such as ADSL dial-up connection), when establishing a connection, you need to tick the "allow others to use this connection" option. The following figure:
In the Change adapter settings option in the Network Sharing Center, right-click Broadband connection, select Properties, select Share, and then tick "allow other network users to connect via this computer's Internet connection (N)", select Local Area Connection *8 in the drop-down menu ( This connection is the virtual network adapter that appears after you turn on the Wireless Connection center, as shown in the following figure:
2. Use a local connection (Ethernet in the WIN8 system) (router wired Internet or direct-attached network cable does not require dial-up users):
Right-click on the local Area connection (Ethernet in Win8 System) icon and select "Properties", then tick "Allow other network users to connect via this computer's Internet connection (N)", select Local Area Connection *8 in the drop-down menu (this connection is the virtual network adapter that appears after you turn on the Wireless Connection center ) as shown below:
3. Use a wireless network connection (Wi-Fi in the WIN8 system) for users:
Right-click on Wi-Fi (Wi-Fi), select Properties, and then tick "allow other network users to connect via this computer's Internet connection (N)", select Local Area Connection *8 (this connection is the virtual network adapter that appears after you turn on Wireless Connection center) in the drop-down menu as shown below:
At this point, the Wireless Connection Center computer-side settings are all set up, you can use mobile phone or pad search wireless hotspot, as shown below: (The user name has been shown by default, the password is the password you previously set)
Note:
1. According to the above settings still unable to connect to the network or can see the hotspot cannot obtain the IP address, please shut down the anti-virus software firewall attempt.
2. It is recommended that users connect the computer to the Internet before starting the Lenovo Wireless Connection Center, so that a shareable Internet connection can be detected quickly when a wireless connection is initiated.
3. Wireless Connection Center password encryption can enter 8–63 characters, AP name and password can only be changed when the connection is not started, the connection cannot be modified after startup.
