I sincerely ask you to solve the problem for me;
Kgdb is used to debug the kernel.
The virtual machine is vm7.1.4, the original kernel is 2.4.20-8, and the debugging kernel is 2.6.15.5.
I used two methods (none of them work ):
(1) compile the kernel 2.6.15.5 on the virtual machine (host), and then make modules; make modules_install; make instal;
Disable the vm, and then choose vm --> clone from the vm menu;
Modify grub. conf on the clone virtual machine, and then restart ......
Then run gdb./vmlinux; set rebotebaud 115200; target remote/dev/ttS1; on the host virtual machine, an error occurs;
(2) choose vm> clone (to get the clone vm)
Then, compile the kernel make bzImage & make modules on the VM, and copy the system and bzImage to the/boot directory of the clone VM,
Then ....
