If VI/Vim is disabled, garbled characters are displayed. Gvim menu garbled Solution

Source: Internet
Author: User

After VI/Vim is disabled, garbled characters are generated, that is, all the prompts are garbled.

Solution: The reason is that the terminal name is not standard. Right-click the terminal, select preferences, and change the initial title as follows: add a space before and after the terminal, or directly change it to the English title.

Garbled gvim menu because the default lang = zh_cn.utf8 In the Ubuntu graphic interface
The use of lang = zh_CN.UTF-8 is correct. So in the terminal input export lang = zh_CN.UTF-8, the same terminal input gvim.

The disadvantage is that the validity is only this terminal, and other terminals and graphic shortcuts are still garbled.

Another solution: Edit. vimrc and add it to the end

Locale is set langmenu = zh_cn
Let $ lang = 'zh _ CN.UTF-8'
Source $ vimruntime/delmenu. Vim
Source $ vimruntime/menu. Vim

You can.
