1. install and configure the eclipse Development Environment (For details, refer to the articles on Environment setup)
2. Import the MMS source code. File-> Import-select the MMS source code directory
Three projects will be imported: Main project file: COM. Android. mms. UI. conversationlist. Other projects can be imported
3. Add an external library file
1) Complete Compilation of the project on Ubuntu is required (refer to the Ubuntu Android Compilation Article)
View library files under android-4.0.3_r1 \ out \ target \ common \ OBJ \ java_libraries
Copy the class. Java file under framework_intermediates and rename framework_intermediates.jar.
Android-common_intermediates... Android-common_intermediates.jar
Guava_intermediates... Guava_intermediates.jar
Put these three files in the MMS project folder (as long as you can find them)
2) Add External library
Right-click Project-> build path-> Add library-> User library-> next-> (right) User library-> New-name mms_lib (name as you want)-> Add jar
Add the above three databases at a time
3). Sort external databases again
Right-click the project and choose Properties> JAVA build path> sort and export> select mms_lib to move to android4.0.3.
4. At this time, all databases are available, but R. Java under gen is not generated when MMS is imported by default, So errors will occur when resources are called.
Solution:
Project-Remove Automatic Build-clear-> after cleaning, the project is automatically built. After OK, there will be no red errors in the entire project.
It is useful to hook up automatic building,
