1. Download an object
JDK jdk-1_5_0-linux-i586-rpm.bin (http://java.sun.com)
Eclipse eclipse-SDK-3.2-linux-gtk.tar.gz (http://www.eclipse.org)
CDT org.eclipse.cdt-3.1.2-linux.x86.tar.gz (http://www.eclipse.org/cdt)
2. Install JDK
Install JDK in Linux first. The installation directory of my JDK is/usr/Java/jdk1.5.0.
3. Install eclipse
Tar-zxvf eclipse-SDK-3.2.1-linux-gtk.tar.gz
Then move it to the desired directory, which is/usr/Eclipse /.
4. Install CDT
Tar-zxvf org.eclipse.cdt-3.1.2-linux.x86.tar.gz
Copy the files in the ing directory to the eclipse directory.
5. Configure eclipse
To enable each user to execute eclipse, compile the eclipse. Sh script. The content is as follows:

Export classpath =/usr/Java/jdk1.5.0/lib
/Usr/Eclipse/eclipse-VM/usr/Java/jdk1.5.0/bin/Java-data ~ /Workspace &

# The-date parameter is used to specify the eclipse data directory. Specify the user root directory (~) Under the workspace directory
Copy eclipse. Sh to/usr/local/bin, and add the 755 permission to it;
CP eclipse. sh/usr/local/bin
Chmod 755/usr/local/bin/eclipse. Sh
Now execute eclipse. Sh to start eclipse.
6. Create a shortcut on the desktop:
Right-click the desktop, select "create starter" from the menu, and enter eclipse3.2 in "name", and enter/usr/local/bin/eclipse in "command. sh, and then find a favorite icon for it (I use/opt/Eclipse/icon. XPM). Then, press "OK". The eclipse shortcut is displayed on the desktop. You can double-click this icon to start eclipse.
