1. For Windows-> prefernces-> server-> runtime environments-> Add, select Apache tomcat5.5 here. Next, select the installation path of tomcat5.5 in Tomcat installation directory. Click Finish> OK.
2. Windows> show View> other. In the displayed dialog box, select Server> server.
3. Click the Server tab under the eclipse coding area, right-click to create a server, select tomcat5.5 in the pop-up dialog box, next, select the project to be deployed, and finish. Start Tomcat on the server.
If you access tomcat after deployment, the Error 404 is returned. The error solution is as follows:
First, copy all files to the tomcat installation directory/tomcat 5.5/webapps/root.
Copy these files to workspace E:/eclipseproject/. Metadata/. plugins/org. Eclipse. WST. server. Core/tmp0/wtpwebapps/root. You can access the deployment project through http: // localhost: 8090/project name/index. jsp.
