Install the DBMS_SHARED_POOL package

When installing The DBMS_SHARED_POOL package, you will encounter an error such as the DBMS_SHARED_POOL package is not executed on The Existing Database when installing the 10g gc, which means that The DBMS_SHARED_POOL package is not installed; the following describes how to install this package: First, check whether the package has been installed on an existing Library:

SQL> select count (*) from DBA_OBJECTS where object_name = 'dbms _ SHARED_POOL '; COUNT (*) ---------- 0

 

If the queried value is 0, log in as SYSDBA, install the DBMS_SHARED_POOL package, and execute the following script:

SQL> @? /Rdbms/admin/dbmspool. sqlPackage created. Grant succeeded. View created. Package body created. SQL> commit; Commit complete. SQL> @? /Rdbms/admin/utlrp. SQL

 

OK. Verify that the following DBMS_SHARED_POOL package is successfully installed:

SQL> select count (*) from DBA_OBJECTS where object_name = 'dbms _ SHARED_POOL '; COUNT (*) ---------- 2
