Install the sogou Input Method on ubuntu (ubuntu 14.04, ubuntu 16.04), 14.04ubuntu16.04

This method is applicable to ubuntu 14.04 and ubuntu.

1. Download the deb installation package for sogou Input Method

:

Http://pinyin.sogou.com/linux? R = pinyin

2. Install sogou input method and dependent Software

Sudo dpkg-I sogoupinyin_2.1.0.0086_amd64.deb

If an error is reported, deb installation fails. Run the following command to install the dependency package:

Sudo apt-get-f install

Try again:
Sudo dpkg-I sogoupinyin_2.1.0.0086_amd64.deb

3. Configure language support and set keyboard input method system to fcitx.

Log out of ubuntuAnd then log on again (generally, you do not need to restart your computer ).

4. Configure fcitx and add the sogou input method.

Open fcitx configuration and add the sogou input method:

Click "+", deselect "only show current language", search for "sogou", click "OK", and close.
