Installation, configuration, and localization of eclipse 3.6-Helios in Windows XP SP3

1. Download JDK or JRE. We recommend that you install JDK. The version is Java SE Development Kit 62008, which is:

The downloaded file name is: jdk-6u21-windows-i586.exe.

2.install jdk-6u21-windows-i586.exe by default.

3. download the latest version of eclipse 3.6, which is:

The downloaded file name is: eclipse-SDK-3.6-win32.zip.

4.after decompression, double-click eclipse.exe under the eclipsefolder to start.

5. The current version is an English version. Download the official Chinese package:

The downloaded file name is: BabelLanguagePack-eclipse-zh_3.6.0.v20100814043401.zip.

6. decompress the package. Create a folder named language under the Eclipse installation directory and copy the decompressed folder eclipse to the language folder.

7. Create the links folder under Eclipse in the eclipse installation directory, and create the language. ini file under this file. Fill in the file content as path = language.

8. Restart Eclipse and you can see that the interface is changed to Chinese. The interface is as follows:
