Tomcat version: 7.0.35

JDK version: 1.7.0.11

After JDK and tomcat are configured, Tomcat can be started and accessed normally. However, when you configure the Tomcat service in eclipse, the following message is always displayed:

Cannot
Create a server using the selected type

At the same time, when define new server is used, the choose an existing serve is not available. I saw such a related post (click to open the link), but I did not find it.ArticleFile.

Later, I reset the environment variable of the/etc/profile file and re-run: source profile.

Then, use the decompressed Eclipse IDE to solve the problem.

Unfortunately, the specific cause is not clear. It is estimated that there is a problem with the path and parameters during tomcat configuration in eclipse, which leads to failure to obtain the Tomcat service.
