sudo chmod-r 777/usr/local/openfire/bin

C. Then execute the following command one line at a

sudo su
Cd/usr/local/openfire/bin
Export java_home= '/usr/libexec/java_home '
Echo $JAVA _home/library/java/javavirtualmachines/ JDK1.8.0_40.JDK / Contents/home
Cd/usr/local/openfire/bin
./openfire.sh

Note : The change here is the jdk1.8.0_40.jdk part, exactly what needs to go under the directory to see (SHIFT+CMD+G)

To view java_home, you can use the command:

/usr/libexec/java_home-v
