I don't know how to forget the Rootpassword of Mac OS System.
Method One:
First, start the machine, press and hold the Apple and S keys on startup, and enter the system in single user mode. Input: Mount-uw/Then enter.
Input: passwd short username (assuming you know) assuming you do not know the short username, be able to input: passwd root
Enter the new password two times.
Input: Reboot Enter.
Let the machine start again.
Let's say you're using root. After logging in, to the System Preferences/system Preferences in the "account", find the appropriate users, and change their password.
Method Two:
Can log into the system, but forget Rootpassword, change rootpassword such as the following:
sudo bash
Password: Enter your current user password
bash-3.2#
In fact, no, because the login current user default in the System Sudoers list.
next passwd root
Enter a new password to this ok!
