MySQL cannot be installed because MySQL has been installed before. after it is uninstalled and reinstalled, the start server does not respond each time to the last step. The reason is that the previous MySQL has not been uninstalled completely.
Uninstall procedure:
1. uninstall mysql on the control panel.
2. go to the installation disk:/Program Files directory and delete the mysql directory.
3. if you want to delete the Directory in another disk, you must also delete the empty directory.
4. go to regedit to modify the registry and delete it:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/ControlSet001/Services/Eventlog/Applications/MySQL
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/ControlSet002/Services/Eventlog/Applications/MySQL
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/Services/Eventlog/Applications/MySQL
5. Be sure to delete the directory C:/Documents Ents and Settings/All Users/Application Data/MySQL
Because the directory C:/Documents and Settings/All Users/Application Data/MySQL is a system-protected directory, you must first modify the user permission to enter the folder.
The installation is successful after you reinstall it.
