New plotting template for advanced Cacti application of network monitoring (1)

UsedCactiI know that it is a software used to monitor network traffic, but he has many advanced skills. You know, here I will introduce one: NewDrawing template!

Create a Graph Template)

Click Graph Templates connection in the left-side menu bar under the console tab to open the new drawing template window.

In the new drawing template window, click Add to Add "Graph Templates ".

Enter the following content:

1). the first Name is the Template Name, which can be customized. Enter "Windows-CPU Usage" here ";

2). The Title of the image drawn from the Title, where "| host_description |" is equivalent to a variable, which is automatically replaced with the host description during the drawing.

3). Verticle Lab is displayed on the left of the image, usually the unit or description used for plotting.

Click "create" to create a drawing template.

Next we need to create the graph we need to display with the data source defined above. A Data Source usually needs to define four data values, namely the "Area Chart", "current value", "average", and "maximum", which display the status of the system in different time periods. Click Add to Add "Graph template Items ".

Enter the following content:

1) Select the defined Data Source template for Data Source;

2). Color only when AREA, STACK, LINE1, LINE2, and LINE3 are selected for the Graph Item Type, you can select a Color for the data source;

3). Graph Item Type defines the Item Type of the Graph. because it is the first image Item, select "AREA ";

4). Text Format defines a display name;

Keep other values by default. Click "create ".

Click Add to continue adding "Graph template Items ".

Add the current running value and enter the following content:

1) Select "Windows-CPU Usage-(WindowsCPU)" for Data Source )"

2) Graph Item Type: select the Type of the image Item "uplint". Only this Type can be used to define the current, average, and maximum values.

3) Select "LAST" for the pipeline lidation Function to indicate the current running value.

4). Text Format defines the name displayed in the chart.

To add the average value, you only need to modify the content of the "Consolidation Function" and "Text Format.

To add the maximum value, you can also modify the content of "Consolidation Function" and "Text Format". Select the check box before "Insert Hard Return" to Insert a Hard carriage Return, this is to avoid overlap with other newly created legends on one line.
