Officially Released Fedora 24!

On April 9, June 21, 2016, the Fedora Project Team announced the official release of the Fedora 24 Linux operating system! Supports desktop, server, cloud, and embedded devices.

After four delays, the official version of Fedora 24 was finally released. Now you can download it! It includes several different branches: Fedora workstation, Fedora server, and Fedora cloud, as well as the official Fedora variant (Fedora Spins) -- supports Xfce, LXDE, KDE, MATE/Compiz, Cinnamon, Sugar, and other desktops.

Of course, you can also find more diverse bodies in the Fedora 24 lab, including design kits, games, robot kits, science, and security labs. However, all these versions use the same core components, namely Linux kernel 4.5.7 and gnu c library 2.23.

You may have noticed that the Linux 4.5.7 kernel is the last version of the Linux 4.5 kernel series, the Fedora developers have promised that they will upgrade the release to the Linux 4.6 series in the next few weeks, and there is no time to re-test the Linux 4.6 kernel before the release.

GNOME 3.20, KDE Plasma 5.6, Mono 4.2, and GCC 6

The GNOME 3.20.2 desktop environment is loaded in the ora 24 workstation version, while the KDE Plasma 5.6 desktop is included in the Fedora 24 KDE Plasma Spin. All branches of Fedora 24 are built using the GCC 6 compiler.

Network Manager NetworkManager 1.2 is used in Fedora 24 to manage network connections. In addition, it includes Mono 4.2, Boost 1.60, Node. js 5.10, Python 3.5, Ruby 2.3, and Golang 1.6.
