In general, the newly installed SUSE Linux system can be logged on by default using SSH2, but cannot be logged in with SSH password. (At present, I am exposed to the SUSE10, suse11,suse12 system has just installed is not support SSH password Authentication login)
(1) Landing system
① If you are using a tool that supports SSH2 protocols such as Securecrt,xshell, you can log in to the system using the SSH2 protocol first.
② if Telnet is turned on, you can also use Telnet to log in.
③ If you have system administrator privileges, you can do this directly through the management tools such as KVM.
(2) Open SSH password login, operation as follows:
Shut down the firewall (and redhat a certain difference)
#/etc/init.d/susefirewall2_init Stop
#/etc/init.d/susefirewall2_setup Stop
If you need to shut down the firewall permanently
# chkconfig Susefirewall2_init off
# chkconfig Susefirewall2_setup off
2. Modify the/etc/ssh/sshd_config file
Passwordauthentication No
Revision changed to
Passwordauthentication Yes
Then restart the SSHD service:
Perform
# Service Sshd Restart
Or
#/etc/init.d/sshd Restart
Command.
