Oracle client garbled-modifying the character set of the Oracle client

How to modify the character set of the Oracle client:

1: You can change the registry key value to set permanently, similar to the following key values:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/software/Oracle/home0,
Like Simplified Chinese
Nls_lang = simplified chinese_china.zhs16gbk

 

2: view the current character set parameter settings of the database

SQL> select userenv ('language') from dual;

Userenv ('language ')
----------------------------------------------------
Simplified chinese_china.zhs16gbk

 

3: Open the CMD window, garbled

C:/Documents and Settings/Administrator> set nls_lang = american_america.al32utf8

C:/Documents and Settings/Administrator> sqlplus

SQL * Plus: Release 9.2.0.1.0-production on Saturday April 10 10:59:53 2010

4: open another cmd window. Normally

C:/Documents and Settings/Administrator> set nls_lang = simplified chinese_china.zhs16gbk

C:/Documents and Settings/Administrator> sqlplus

SQL> select e-mapreduce, ename, Sal from e-mapreduce where e-mapreduce = 7779;

Empno ename Sal
------------------------------
7779 yang ping 6080
