After CRS is installed, the system fails to reinstall the Oracle software and deletes all directories under/u01/app/oracle. As a result, the cluster environment cannot be identified when Oracle is installed again.

View the index directory of Oracle software installation:/u01/app/oracle/oraInventory, which is not a cluster environment of CRS.

[root@aix227:/u01/app/oracle/oraInventory/ContentsXML]#vi inventory.xml "inventory.xml" 12 lines, 409 characters

Ii. Solution

Upload the inventory. xml file of the aix211 host to the aix211 host on a host (aix211) that has installed the CRS software to replace the original inventory. xml file.

1. upload via ftp: [root @ aix211 ContentsXML] # pwd/u01/app/oracle/oraInventory/ContentsXML [root @ aix211 ContentsXML] # lscomps. xml inventory. xml libs. xml [root @ aix211 ContentsXML] # ftp 192.168.8.227Connected to 192.168.8.227.220 aix227 FTP server (Version 4.2 Sat Sep 8 09:49:58 CDT 2007) ready. name (192.168.8.227: root): ^ C [root @ aix211 ContentsXML] # [root @ aix211 ContentsXML] # [root @ aix211 ContentsXML] # su-oracle [YO U have new mail] [u @ h W] $ bash [oracle @ aix211 ~] $ Cd/u01/app/oracle/oraInventory/[oracle @ aix211 oraInventory] $ lsContents logs orainstRoot. shContentsXML oraInst. loc ouiinstall. platform oraInstaller. properties sessionContext. ser [oracle @ aix211 oraInventory] $ cd ContentsXML/[oracle @ aix211 ContentsXML] $ lscomps. xml inventory. xml libs. xml [oracle @ aix211 ContentsXML] $ pwd/u01/app/oracle/oraInventory/ContentsXML [oracle @ aix211 ContentsXML] $ ftp 192.168.8.227Connected to construct aix227 FTP server (Version 4.2 Sat Sep 8 09:49:58 CDT 2007) ready. name (192.168.8.227: root): oracle331 Password required for oracle. password: 230-Last login: Mon Nov 17 10:36:38 2014 on/dev/pts/2 from 192.168.8.248230 User oracle logged in. ftp> bin200 Type set to I. ftp> put inventory. xml200 PORT command successful.150 Opening data connection for inventory. xml.226 Transfer complete.666 bytes sent in 0.001007 seconds (645.9 Kbytes/s) local: inventory. xml remote: inventory. xmlftp> overwrite the previous inventory. xml: [oracle @ aix227:/home/oracle] $ ls-ltotal 8-rw-r ----- 1 oracle oinstall 666 Nov 17 inventory. xml [oracle @ aix227:/home/oracle] $ cp inventory. xml/u01/app/oracle/oraInventory/ContentsXML [oracle @ aix227:/home/oracle] $ cd/u01/app/oracle/oraInventory/ContentsXML [oracle @ aix227: /u01/app/oracle/oraInventory/ContentsXML] $ ls comps. xml inventory. xml libs. xml [oracle @ aix227:/u01/app/oracle/oraInventory/ContentsXML] $ more inventory. xml

Update node information in inventory. xml (update aix211, aix212 to aix227, aix228):

Note: Execute the update command in the graphic interface
